Military Life

Well just after we get the house unpacked the government threw us a loop hole !  We just unpacked you know in June OF THIS YEAR!  We found out last week that the government housing quarters that we live in are scheduled for demolition in December so we have one week to move.  A pool and recreation center is going in here.  Of course I dont mind since it is a brand spanking new house.  4 BR, 2B, Garage, & 2,200 sf.  Not complaining.  The are paying me to move me plus sending movers at my disposal!  The kids have a brand new park to play at in front of the house and it is closer to the kids school.  So what does all this mean!  Kris is missing out on all the fun!  He gets to come home to a plush new pad to live in.  I mean he is enjoying his hunting trip to Iraq but come on now 6 months is a bit much to go hunting I think especially on the governments dime….  JK we have to keep our sanity and joke about it between he and I.  It gets us through the lonely longs nights without one another. 

We have had a few visitors since we have moved here, Denise my friend of too many years to count now came for a long weekend!  Gavins grandma Kelly came for a week.  My parents came for 5 days and we got rained in but that didnt stop us we rolled up our pants and carried our shoes to the car, literally! 

I cant wait until Christmas to eat my Granny’s food!  I am staying home for Thanksgiving this year, I am going to invite some of the ladies into  my home and do Thanksgiving here.  Our husbands are gone away together and we understand one another!  There is such a feeling of family here even when you dont really know someone. 

The kids are doing great!  Getting huge.  Emily is so beautiful!  I look at her and I see her grandma Linda all the time. I know she is in heaven keeping her eye on my 2 kids.  Zack is getting more handsome as the days pass buy.  Looking more and more like a little man.  His soccer team is in play offs and they are undefeated.  He can slam the ball with his head.  Its amazing how he can do that and not get a headache.  Gavin is doing very well in school this year!  His mother is giving us custody of him.  We found out this week!  Kris was so elated he could not hold back the tears.  Gavin is more happy now than I have ever seen him.  His 2 doctors have finally found meds that work for him.  He is finally leveled out now and doing so wonderful in school and not getting in trouble!  God is good all the time and we are all in the palm of his hand and his mercy is new everyday!
